Welcome to The Gadget Professor Show #357 hosted by Don Baine. The TrickleStar TS1810 7-outlet Audio Visual (AV) Advanced PowerStrip+ provides premium-quality surge protection while reducing active and standby power wasted by home entertainment center electronics. The TS1810 features a multi-sensor that monitors user activity and automatically switches off the TV and AV peripheral electronics if no IR remote control activity or motion is detected, saving money by saving energy.Automatically Reduces Power Waste
Active power waste occurs when electronics are left on and no one is using them, for example when you forget to power off electronics or fall asleep with the television left on. Furthermore, standby power is the energy consumed by electronics that are turned off but still plugged in. The TS1810 reduces both active and standby power loss in home theater setups by detecting when AV electronics are not being used and turns them off, thereby saving energy and reducing operating costs.
How it Works
The TS1810 features a multi-sensor with a configurable countdown timer that detects infrared (IR) remote control activity and motion to determine whether the TV and electronics are being used. Each time activity is detected, the countdown timer on the sensor is reset, extending the viewing time of the connected AV equipment. If no IR remote control activity or motion is detected within the countdown timer period, the TS1810 automatically powers down the TV and peripheral AV electronics plugged into the switched outlets.
The Multi-sensor Difference
Many electronics in home entertainment centers such as smart televisions, set-top boxes, streaming players, universal remotes, and gaming console, no longer use infrared (IR) remote controls, but rather use radio-frequency (RF), Bluetooth™, and Wi-Fi® enabled remotes or a smartphone app to control electronics. TrickleStar’s innovative multi-sensor detects both IR remote control activity and motion to accurately monitor activity in the AV home environment.

As compared to traditional IR-only sensor, TrickleStar’s multi-sensing technology is proven to significantly reduce unwanted active shutdown events and ensures compatibility with all AV electronic equipment, leading to increased customer satisfaction, usability and prolonged energy savings

Welcome to The Gadget Professor Show #355 hosted by Don Baine. How many people do you know who love the idea of acupuncture and all of the benefits but perhaps have a fear of needs?
Also so many people want to reap the benefits of acupuncture but don’t have the time or money to pay for an expensive treatment session or drive an hour across town to get to an appointment. Well luckily now you don’t have to make an appointment or pay a ton of money to see a practitioner to reap all of the benefits that acupuncture has to offer, you don’t even have to see a needle!

The ancient Chinese techniques of acupuncture and acupoint therapy can be used to help heal the body from any illnesses and also promote general health. If you haven’t looked into these methods of healing, you may want to look into it.
Acupuncture has been used for centuries to provide healing, pain relief, and relief from other symptoms and illnesses. Traditional Western medicine experts are beginning to realize that it has merit and produces results.

Enter the AMAZING and LIFE CHANGING Electric Acupuncture Pen!

Experiencing increased stress? Unexplained pains? Tension headaches or fatigue? Well Discover how the electric acupuncture pen can remedy these issues.
The Electric Acupuncture Pen uses electrical pulses to stimulate acupuncture point. It is a modern day fusion of biotechnology mixed with Chinese Eastern medicine. It is a safe and effective treatment with NO SIDE EFFECTS!

It’s is extremely effective at helping to reduce common everyday ailments like headaches, fatigue, and pms. It also it highly effecting at helping to lessen the severity of chronic issues like sports injuries, chronic pain, and migraines.

This pen has two operational modes:

(1) Dome type: Superficial therapy, which spreads out the charge and is used on the face or in sensitive areas.
(2) Node type: Node therapy, which is applicable for partial body pains.

Two very different theories exist as to how acupuncture works. According to Chinese philosophy, the body contains two opposing forces: yin and yang. When these forces are in balance, the body is healthy.
Energy, called “qi” (pronounced “chee”), flows like rivers along pathways, or meridians, throughout the body.
This constant flow of energy keeps the yin and yang balanced. However, the flow of energy can sometimes be blocked, like water getting stuck behind a dam. A disruption in the flow of energy can lead to illness.

Welcome to The Gadget Professor Show #353 hosted by Don Baine.Verbatim External Slimline CD/DVD Writer
Though CDs and DVDs are still among the most commonly used media types, more and more computer manufacturers are choosing to leave optical drives out of their new models. If you still use these media types, or even newer optical media types such as Blu-ray discs or M-Discs, you may find yourself in the position of needing to buy a separate optical drive, and there are several things to consider.
M DISC Compatibility
So, what exactly is M DISC? Unlike traditional optical discs, which utilize dyes that can break down over time, data stored on an M DISC is engraved on a patented inorganic write layer – it will not fade or deteriorate. This unique engraving process renders these archival grade discs practically impervious to environmental exposure, including light, temperature and humidity. ISO/IEC 16963 standard longevity tests have proven the durability of M DISC technology, and it withstood rigorous testing by the US Department of Defense. Based on ISO/IEC 16963 testing, M DISC media has a projected lifetime of several hundred years. Designed for widely distributed large data such as scientific images, video, and other commercial application object data, Verbatim M DISC media has storage capacities up to 100GB – allowing you to use fewer discs while archiving your files. M DISC BD-R media is compatible with the latest Blu-ray hardware from leading manufacturers – no special drives required for recording or playback. However, if you want to use M DISC DVD for archiving, you do need to select a drive that is M DISC compatible.
